Property Clerk

About the role

We are a small‑sized property management company in Nairobi seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Property Clerk to support day‑to‑day operations. The role combines field inspections, rent collection, tenant liaison and preparation of financial reports, with daily travel across Nairobi and surrounding estates on a company motorcycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular property and unit inspections (move‑in, move‑out, health & safety) and document conditions.
• Follow up on monthly rent payments, verify receipts, issue acknowledgements and reconcile tenant accounts.
• Draft, renew and manage lease agreements, handle tenant onboarding and off‑boarding.
• Prepare monthly financial and performance statements for property owners using property software and spreadsheets.
• Travel frequently across Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado and Machakos borders to address field emergencies and oversee maintenance.

Required profile

• O‑Level, certificate or diploma in real‑estate or related field.
• Minimum two years of active motorcycle riding experience with a valid Class A licence.
• Strong knowledge of Nairobi estates and surrounding commercial hubs.
• High integrity, self‑motivation and excellent customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with property‑management or accounting software.
• Computer literacy and ability to generate accurate spreadsheets and reports.
