Refrigeration Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Nairobi. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install refrigeration units, chillers and air‑conditioning systems according to technical specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including filter cleaning, refrigerant level checks and lubrication.
• Diagnose faults using specialized diagnostic tools, interpret error codes and sensor data.
• Repair or replace components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, fans, expansion valves and electrical wiring.
• Test and calibrate systems after installation or repair to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide after‑hours support when required.
• Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance reports and compliance documentation.
• Follow all safety codes, environmental regulations and use appropriate PPE when handling refrigerants and electrical parts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in refrigeration and HVAC installation and maintenance.
• Mid‑level technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently on site and respond to urgent service calls.
