Relationship Officer – Consumer Business

About the role

The Relationship Officer – Consumer Business will lead the branch sales team to achieve sales targets while building strong relationships with both internal and external customers. This role focuses on expanding the consumer lending portfolio through partnerships with employers, government bodies, insurance firms and other strategic stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch sales budgets and ensure targets are met.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, government institutions, insurance companies and other partners.
• Engage customers proactively, provide service updates and ensure high‑quality customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, KYC, AML and fraud prevention measures.
• Conduct needs analysis, disclose product terms and manage loan applications.
• Maintain a high‑quality lending book and review existing facilities timely.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal channels such as branch network, marketing and head‑office departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years in business development or consumer lending.
• Strong knowledge of MSME banking products, lending policies and prudential guidelines.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver business results.
• Self‑driven attitude with excellent customer relationship management skills.
