Sales Representative – General Trade

About the role

The company is looking for an energetic Sales Representative to manage its General Trade channel across the Coastal Region. You will be responsible for driving sales, expanding the customer base and ensuring product availability in kiosks, mini‑marts and wholesale outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily sales routines to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets within the assigned territory.
• Plan and follow daily/weekly routes to maximise coverage of General Trade outlets.
• Pitch products, negotiate orders and coordinate deliveries to avoid stock‑outs.
• Identify and recruit new General Trade customers to increase market penetration.
• Deploy point‑of‑sale materials and run promotional activities to boost consumer uptake.
• Introduce new product developments and secure optimal shelf placement.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and manage credit terms according to policy.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends, and provide regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of proven sales experience in the FMCG sector.
• Hands‑on experience selling through General Trade channels (distributors, wholesalers, traditional retail).
• Familiarity with the Coastal Region market dynamics is highly preferred.
