Sales Store Clerk – Visitor Services

About the role

The Sales Store Clerk supports visitor services at a Presidential Library and Museum, handling ticketing, admissions, and merchandise sales while providing information about exhibits and library operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate visitor attendance records.
• Respond to oral and written inquiries about hours, admission fees, merchandise, and museum exhibits.
• Resolve day‑to‑day issues independently when a supervisor is unavailable.
• Plan, create, and implement display projects in the sales store with minimal supervision.
• Perform routine clerical duties across other library areas as needed.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen or national.
• Meet GS‑04 qualification with at least one year of general experience.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and complete federal employment declarations.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, and lift medium‑weight materials.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service System.
