Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive hands‑on experience across Linux, Windows, networking, databases, virtualization, automation, and cloud/SaaS environments. The role involves troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues, leading technical initiatives, and collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Diagnose complex infrastructure and application problems, including network connectivity, authentication, SSL, and database issues.
• Support and maintain networking, database, virtualization, cloud, and SaaS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, Puppet, and/or Chef.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms.
• Partner with software engineering and other technical teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and participate in technical infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery planning, testing, maintenance, and execution.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Advanced hands‑on knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, networking, and databases.
• Strong experience troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues.
• Proven experience with configuration‑management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and SaaS environments.
• Experience with VMware or equivalent virtualization technologies.
• Leadership experience in technical projects and collaboration with engineering teams.
