Senior Procurement & Operations Manager

About the role

Penda Health is seeking a senior leader to oversee procurement, asset management, facilities, and operational functions across its network of medical centres. The role balances cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and service delivery while supporting the company’s rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, services and supplies, ensuring compliance and uninterrupted supply.
• Develop procurement strategies, governance frameworks and sourcing approaches to optimise cost and quality.
• Negotiate strategic supplier contracts, set KPIs and use market intelligence for continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier selection, partnership development, contract awards and vendor consolidation.
• Oversee asset lifecycle, facilities operations and infrastructure projects across all sites, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Drive asset optimisation, maintenance programmes and capital planning.
• Partner with warehouse teams to strengthen inventory governance and risk management.
• Manage budgets, lead savings initiatives and ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop high‑performing procurement and infrastructure teams.
• Support medical centre expansion and cross‑functional operational excellence programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., supply chain, business, engineering).
• Significant senior‑level experience in procurement, supplier management and asset/facilities oversight.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings and mitigate operational risks.
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably healthcare.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
