Job description
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of underwriters, overseeing daily operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Evaluate risks and make underwriting decisions within set policies and authority limits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, actuarial science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACII, CPCU, or LOMA are highly regarded.
- 5–7 years of underwriting experience, preferably in insurance brokerage.
Required skills
- Strong risk assessment and data interpretation abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of insurance laws, regulatory requirements, and underwriting standards.
- Ability to stay current with market trends and apply them to underwriting decisions.
