Van Sales Assistant

About the role

The Van Sales Assistant will combine sales outreach with product delivery across assigned routes in Kiambu. You will promote the company’s product range, collect orders, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers and outlets to promote products, generate sales, and collect orders.
• Process customer orders accurately and ensure products are supplied according to agreed quantities and specifications.
• Assist with loading, transporting, and delivering products along designated routes.
• Maintain accurate records of stock received, sold, returned, and delivered.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with retailers, distributors, and other business partners.
• Respond to customer enquiries, resolve routine complaints, and gather feedback.
• Follow sales routes and schedules to maximize coverage and sales opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and product availability.
• Submit daily and weekly sales, delivery, and route activity reports to supervisors.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in van sales, route sales, FMCG distribution, or a related field.
• Experience handling customer orders, product deliveries, and stock management.
• Previous work with retailers, distributors, or shops is an advantage.
• A valid driving licence is an added advantage.
