About the role
The Veterinary Hatchery Assistant will support daily hatchery operations by applying veterinary and animal health expertise while developing strong management and operational skills. This role is essential for maintaining flock health, hygiene, and bio‑security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day hatchery operations and animal health activities.
- Apply veterinary and animal health knowledge in hatchery processes.
- Monitor flock health, hygiene, and bio‑security practices.
- Assist with operational and staff management tasks.
- Maintain accurate operational and health‑related records.
- Collaborate closely with the hatchery management team.
- Participate in training programs and implement learned practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of hatchery operations.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, or a related field.
- Mandatory veterinary background.
- Good management and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to learn and undergo practical training.
- Ability to work effectively in a hatchery environment.
- Previous hatchery or poultry experience is an advantage.
