Volunteer Faculty – Computer & IT

About the role

The Africa Nazarene University seeks a dedicated volunteer faculty member to teach Computer & Information Technology courses. This full‑time, on‑site position involves curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student mentorship within a vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement high‑quality curriculum and lesson plans.
• Prepare and deliver both contact‑learning and online teaching materials.
• Utilise diverse teaching methods such as labs, field studies, group activities, and assignments.
• Create learning assessment plans and evaluate student performance.
• Supervise undergraduate, graduate, internship, and research projects.
• Participate in departmental research, publish findings, and contribute to grant writing.
• Advise students on academic and career matters.
• Engage in conferences, workshops, industrial linkages, and outreach activities.
• Support departmental administrative and operational programs.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field, or a Master’s with a PhD candidate in the final data‑collection stage.
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and research skills.
