Accountant – Billing & Revenue Recognition

About the role

CBX Solutions is seeking an Accountant to manage billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable functions. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial data tied to sales, contracts, and customer accounts while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information for monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Ensure billing processes comply with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Reconcile billing, revenue, and accounts receivable accounts during month‑end close.
• Prepare internal management reports by summarizing account activity and trends.
• Review, reconcile, and adjust general ledger accounts, including sales, COGS, and expenses.
• Post accurate journal entries with detailed supporting documentation.
• Verify schedules tied to GL control accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide strategic insights on resource use through financial analysis.
• Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and financial modeling projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams to resolve billing issues.
