Accountant – Billing & Revenue Recognition

About the role

CBX Solutions is seeking an Accountant to apply GAAP principles to billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant customer billing while supporting month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Ensure billing processes meet internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Reconcile billing, revenue, and AR accounts during month‑end close.
• Prepare internal management reports summarizing account activity and trends.
• Review, reconcile, and adjust general ledger accounts, including sales and expense classifications.
• Post accurate journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide strategic insights on resource use and operational efficiency.
• Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and financial modeling projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (implied by "Minimum Qualifications Bachel...").
• Experience applying GAAP to billing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
