About the role
Chess Wizards is looking for a detail‑oriented Remote Bookkeeper to support its Finance team. This full‑time position involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling expense management, and assisting with invoicing and reconciliations while working from a professional home office.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and organize credit‑card receipts and supporting documentation from employees and departments.
- Review and allocate expenses to the appropriate departments, programs, or accounts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Enter vendor bills and expenses into QuickBooks accurately and promptly.
- Assist with preparing, verifying, and issuing customer invoices.
- Maintain organized digital financial records and documentation.
- Support the Finance team with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
- Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with professionalism.
- Participate in special financial projects, audits, and departmental initiatives as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar accounting support role.
- Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Reliable high‑speed internet and a quiet, professional remote work environment.
