About the role
The Associate I will support the Risk and Compliance team in daily tasks, ensuring effective risk management and regulatory compliance across the company.
Key responsibilities
- Perform AML clean‑up and maintain a comprehensive PEP register.
- Collect and collate compliance risk assessment data and support annual AML/CFT risk assessments.
- Maintain continuous dialogue with business units on AML/KYC policies and monitor compliance risks for new products.
- Assist in business continuity awareness and training programmes.
- Support enterprise risk assessments, monitor controls, and maintain risk registers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Law or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in risk compliance, audit or related functions.
- Knowledge of Kenyan regulatory environment (Insurance Act, CMA Act, RBA Act).
Required skills
- Understanding of AML, CFT and KYC requirements.
- Familiarity with insurance operations and business functions.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
