Chief Operating Officer / Integrator

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Chief Operating Officer / Integrator based in Athi River. The role translates the organisation's strategic goals into operational plans and oversees day-to-day operations, with a focus on efficiency, scalability and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Turn strategic goals into operational plans, priorities, processes and measurable outcomes, and keep departments aligned and accountable.
• Identify operational gaps and put in place systems and processes that improve efficiency, productivity and scalability.
• Support the leadership team in delivering growth initiatives and key projects on time, and develop and monitor performance metrics, budgets, timelines and targets.
• Lead initiatives to improve profitability, service delivery, customer experience and overall performance.
• Oversee major projects and cross-functional initiatives, and improve SOPs, workflows, reporting structures and internal systems.
• Coordinate teams, set clear roles and reporting lines, and support managers and team leads.
• Analyse operational and financial information, prepare regular management reports and give leadership actionable insights.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in operations, business management, project management or a similar leadership capacity.
• Proven experience scaling, managing, restructuring or significantly improving a startup, SME, social enterprise or growing organisation.

Required skills

• Understanding of business operations, project management, process improvement, performance management and organisational systems.
• Strong analytical, organisational, financial and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in productivity, project management, reporting and business management tools is an added advantage.
