Country Lead, Kenya – Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) – Policy & Systems

About the role

The Country Lead for Kenya will be the primary representative of the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) – Policy & Systems programme, managing relationships with the FCDO Post and Kenyan government and overseeing programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and negotiate consecutive annual workplans in collaboration with government partners and the FCDO.
• Lead and monitor technical assistance activities to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of deliverables and achievement of log‑frame targets.
• Manage programme finances, including forecasting, spend monitoring and cost‑control measures.
• Report to the Team Leader and coordinate with other country leads, consortium partners, MEL, programme and finance teams.
• Promote institutionalisation and sustainability of policy and systems interventions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading development programmes in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) or related policy and systems work.
• Proven ability to engage senior government officials and donor representatives.
• Strong financial management and reporting experience in donor‑funded projects.
• Excellent leadership and collaborative skills within multi‑partner consortia.
