Electrical Technician – Solar Assembly & Field Operations

About the role

The Electrical Technician will support both our solar assembly plant and on‑site field operations. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and installing solar systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to evaluate roof structure, shading, electrical load and cabling paths, and produce assessment reports.
• Install complete solar systems—including panels, mounting structures, wiring, inverters and batteries—and commission them.
• Perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters and other diagnostic tools, documenting results and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Provide basic training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in both the plant and client installations, supporting preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to OSHA, company policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in solar installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics and engineering documents.
• EPRA license T1, T2 or T3 is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Solar component assembly and wiring.
• Electrical testing (multimeter, clamp meter, diagnostic tools).
• Interpretation of diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of solar system design, inverters and batteries.
• EPRA licensing (T1/T2/T3).
