Electrical Technicians (4 Needed) - Vehicle Tracking Installations

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring four electrical technicians for its fleet management and vehicle tracking business. The work covers installing and configuring GPS tracking devices and telematics equipment in vehicles, diagnosing electrical faults and providing field support to clients. Candidates must indicate their location in Migori, Kisumu, Busia or Bungoma when applying.

Key responsibilities

• Install GPS tracking devices, vehicle monitoring equipment, sensors and telematics accessories, connect them to vehicle power supplies and ignition systems, configure and test them, and run post-installation checks.
• Diagnose and fix vehicle electrical faults affecting tracking devices using multimeters, diagnostic scanners and wiring diagrams, and repair or replace faulty components to reduce downtime.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and inspections of telematics equipment, respond to customer requests at client sites or in the field, and document installations, faults and corrective actions.
• Escalate complex issues to the technical team and follow up until resolved.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and PPE, keep accurate records of equipment and vehicle details, give customers basic guidance on their systems, and coordinate with technical and operations teams.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electronics, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, automotive electronics and electronic diagnostics.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and do field work in the assigned region.
• Relevant experience in vehicle tracking installations, automotive electrical work or electronic equipment maintenance is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Use of multimeters, diagnostic scanners and wiring diagrams.
• Basic computer networking and software skills.
• Understanding of GPS tracking devices, telematics systems and fleet management platforms.
