About the role
The Global Risk Management Cash Assistance Hub in Nairobi is seeking an Emergency Specialist to support beneficiary data management for cash‑based assistance programmes. You will work closely with regional and country offices to ensure that personal data of payment recipients is handled securely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Assist regional and country offices in managing personal data of cash‑assistance beneficiaries.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of data‑management tools for frontline workers receiving cash incentives.
- Provide remote technical assistance and coordinate with HQ and regional teams.
- Promote best practices in data protection, collection, processing, storage, and exchange across the organisation.
- Contribute to raising UNICEF’s profile on beneficiary data management in humanitarian contexts.
Required profile
- Experience working in humanitarian or development settings, preferably with cash‑based assistance programmes.
- Familiarity with data protection principles and personal data management.
- Ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams across regions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
