Entry Level Estimator & Inside Sales

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the pre‑construction team by reviewing construction drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing cost‑effective proposals for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction design drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for structural steel and miscellaneous steel projects.
• Define project requirements through customer correspondence (schedule, material, coatings, logistics).
• Communicate scope requirements and solicit pricing from approved subcontractors/vendors.
• Prepare quotation letters and reports for pre‑construction manager approval.
• Relay scope requirements and challenges of sold projects to Project Management.
• Manage multiple projects and bids simultaneously to completion.
• Perform additional duties as skill level progresses.

Required profile

• Familiarity with commercial construction and/or structural steel.
• Mechanically and mathematically oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, handle a large workload, and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• On‑the‑job training provided for candidates with strong attributes but limited experience.
