About the role
The Field-Based LPG Account Manager is responsible for driving volume, profitability and debt performance for bulk LPG sales. Working directly with customers across the territory, you will build strong relationships while executing both defensive and growth strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of LPG customers to meet KPI targets for volume, margin, debt, growth and service.
- Develop and maintain accurate account plans, using sales tools to identify and capture new market opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence, track competitor activity and maintain a database of market size and shares.
- Negotiate and renew major customer contracts, ensuring compliance with company credit policy.
- Oversee invoicing, debt collection and dispute resolution, and conduct regular equipment audits at customer sites.
- Collaborate with distributors, engineering and supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth product delivery and support tank installations or re‑validations.
- Promote alternative payment methods and provide accurate sales forecasts for the S&OP process.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, account management and credit management within the energy or industrial sector.
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.
