Field Engineer – Drilling Services

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Engineer to join its regional Drilling Services team. You will work on‑site with customers, leading projects and mentoring junior engineers while delivering industry‑leading drilling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as project leader and mentor for junior field engineers on well‑site activities.
• Provide direct instruction, supervision, and technical advice to customers and third‑party colleagues.
• Identify and recommend appropriate products and services for simple to complex drilling applications.
• Execute assigned duties in compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal requirements, and core values.
• Travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings and training events as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling operations, preferably as a Directional Driller (DD) with DDx experience.
• RPS experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work within a global matrix organization and travel frequently.
