About the role
We are looking for a Finance Trainee to join DHL Global Forwarding in Nairobi. The role supports finance processes across multiple job families, providing accurate financial information, analysis and reporting to help the business operate efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Perform Controlling and Accounting tasks in line with established standards and guidelines.
- Provide explanations on finance facts, processes and practices to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve finance issues using defined processes, systems and methods.
- Produce, validate and improve the quality of internal and external financial data.
- Respond to finance‑related enquiries and supply required information.
- Administer finance processes covering Record‑to‑Report (RTR), Procure‑to‑Pay (PTP) and Controlling activities under supervision.
- Gather data, conduct financial analysis and prepare summary reports for management.
- Explain policies and practices related to the finance area and support colleagues within the sub‑function.
- Develop a network of contacts to strengthen organisational and market knowledge.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (second upper class or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Fresh graduate ready to start a finance career.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow defined finance processes.
