Glaze & Pulp Material Tester

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Glaze & Pulp Material Tester to join our Technology team in Miwani, Kisumu. The role involves conducting routine laboratory tests on glaze, pulp and other raw materials, ensuring they meet production standards and supporting the quality of our manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily testing of glaze, pulp and related raw materials.
• Process, prepare and fabricate adhesive grout for testing purposes.
• Carry out on‑site material inspections to verify consistency and compliance.
• Operate, monitor and maintain laboratory and testing equipment.
• Implement new testing procedures linked to newly installed inspection equipment.
• Record test results accurately and generate clear reports.
• Identify material defects, variations and non‑conformities, and escalate findings.
• Provide timely quality feedback to production teams.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and inspection procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in laboratory testing and material inspection.
• Basic understanding of industrial testing methods and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
