Graduate Intern – Enterprise Development (RANGE Program)

About the role

We are looking for graduate interns to support the RANGE Program’s enterprise development activities in Kenya. Interns will work closely with Mercy Corps teams to engage private‑sector partners, analyse business opportunities and help strengthen market linkages.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, profile and engage potential private‑sector partners, entrepreneurs and market actors through market scans and stakeholder mapping.
• Conduct basic financial and market analysis of business opportunities and partnership proposals.
• Track work plans, milestones, budgets and deliverables; collect and analyse performance data; prepare progress reports and recommendations.
• Facilitate collaboration among private‑sector partners, county governments, local implementing partners and community institutions.
• Identify emerging business opportunities, document lessons learned and support knowledge‑sharing events.
• Allocate 5 % of time to organizational learning activities and adhere to Mercy Corps safeguarding and accountability standards.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with interest in enterprise development, private‑sector engagement and market systems.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with data and basic financial information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, multi‑stakeholder environment.
