Inspector Civil Engineering Internship – Nairobi

About the role

The Public Service Commission, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, is offering a 12‑month Inspector Civil Engineering internship as part of the Affordable Housing Programme (Cohort 2). The role supports housing development projects across Kenya and provides hands‑on experience in civil engineering inspection and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspection duties assigned by supervisors and document findings related to affordable housing projects.
• Record and report skills acquired during deployment, contributing to marketing and project site promotion nationwide.
• Participate actively in mentorship activities and take on additional responsibilities designed for the programme.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised university.
• Graduated no earlier than 2020.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Have not previously benefited from a similar internship programme.

What we offer

• 12‑month non‑renewable internship duration.
• Stipend paid at a rate determined by the Government, with a certificate awarded upon successful completion.
