Lead - Digital Growth, Engagement & Retention

About the role

SPIRO, Africa's leading electric mobility company, is looking for a Lead - Digital Growth, Engagement & Retention to lead customer growth strategies, engagement initiatives and retention programs across multiple African markets. The role focuses on improving user acquisition, activation, lifecycle engagement and long-term customer value through data-driven marketing and product-led growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital growth strategies to increase user acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Design customer lifecycle programs covering onboarding, activation and long-term adoption.
• Lead CRM, loyalty, referral and rewards programs.
• Analyze customer behavior and identify growth opportunities across segments.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations and Data teams to launch growth initiatives.
• Define and track engagement KPIs, retention metrics and campaign performance.
• Use marketing automation tools to personalize customer journeys.
• Drive A/B testing, experimentation and optimization.
• Build and manage a high-performing growth team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Growth, CRM, Digital Marketing or Customer Engagement.
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management and performance marketing.
• Experience with CRM tools, marketing automation platforms and analytics solutions.
• Expertise in customer segmentation, retention strategies and funnel optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Preferred: experience in mobility, ride-hailing, fintech, e-commerce, consumer tech or subscription platforms, and managing multi-country growth programs in Africa.
