About the role
The Nature for Health Kenya Project Intern will support UNEP's Biodiversity, Landscapes and People Unit in delivering the Nature for Health (N4H) programme. Working under the Programme Manager, the intern will assist with coordination, communication, research and drafting of technical materials to help achieve project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Organise meetings and workshops, prepare documents and manage logistics.
- Develop communication materials for print, online and social media.
- Draft technical documents and assist with partner communications.
- Conduct targeted desktop research to gather background information and data.
- Track key policy developments relevant to the project.
- Support additional tasks aligned with the intern's interests and experience.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme (Master’s degree) or final year of a bachelor’s programme.
- Degree in health sciences, One Health, environmental management, biodiversity conservation, development studies, social sciences or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in United Nations work and commitment to its Charter.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
Required skills
- Computer literacy with standard software applications (e.g., office suites).
