Behavioral Science Intern

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a motivated Behavioral Science Intern to support its Office of Science. The intern will work within the Evidence and Synthesis section to help develop and manage the Community of Practice on Behavioural Science (BeSci).

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting analyses of the impact and potential benefits of behavioural science for UNEP’s work.
• Map existing UNEP projects and best practices on behavioural science, as well as relevant practices from UN sister organisations.
• Populate the Teams channel of the BeSci Community of Practice with reports, publications, initiatives, trainings and events.
• Organise meetings of the BeSci Steering Committee, including communications, presentation preparation and note‑taking.
• Support the organisation of events and webinars on behavioural science topics relevant to UNEP.
• Draft outreach and communication materials related to BeSci activities.
• Carry out other duties relevant to the intern’s educational background.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or be in the final academic year of a bachelor’s programme (or have graduated within the past year).
• Field of study in Behavioral Science, Business Psychology or a related discipline.
• No prior professional work experience required.
