Node.js Developer – Client-Facing, Solution-Oriented (Nairobi)

About the role

ABC LAB NET COMPANY LIMITED is assembling a core technical team to deliver government and enterprise digital transformation projects. The role combines hands‑on backend development with client‑facing activities such as solution design, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Implement notification mechanisms (email, SMS, push).
• Participate in client meetings, solution workshops, and technical demos.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.

Required profile

• Strong professional demeanor with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to translate client requirements into practical system features.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Node.js development.
• Version control with Git and GitHub.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Understanding of API design and system integration.
• Knowledge of email, SMS, and push notification integrations.
