Operations and Finance Manager – Kenya

About the role

Palladium is seeking an Operations and Finance Manager to lead programme operations for the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme Phase 2 (TDDAP2) in Kenya. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with the AMR Technical Coordinator and the wider programme team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operational and financial management of the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) component.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational and financial aspects of the TDDAP2 AMR work in Kenya, including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
• Provide guidance and support to the AMR Technical Coordinator and other staff on financial reporting, procurement, and compliance with donor requirements.
• Manage relationships with national authorities, implementing partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely payments and resource allocation.
• Monitor programme performance against financial targets and prepare regular reports for the Country AMR Technical Coordinator.
• Ensure adherence to Palladium’s internal policies, FCDO donor guidelines, and local regulations.
• Support capacity‑building activities for local partners on financial management and reporting.

Required profile

• Legal right to live and work in Kenya (no visa sponsorship).
• Proven experience managing operations and finance for international development or public‑health programmes.
• Familiarity with donor‑funded projects, especially those financed by the UK FCDO or similar agencies.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
