About the role
We are seeking a remote Physics Expert to design and solve challenging physics problems that will be used to evaluate large language models. The role involves creating detailed, step‑by‑step solutions and collaborating with researchers to develop new evaluation benchmarks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve advanced physics problems for LLM evaluation.
- Produce clear, structured solutions with thorough reasoning.
- Work with LLM researchers on benchmark creation and reasoning tasks.
- Define new evaluation benchmarks covering undergraduate to PhD‑level physics.
- Analyze complex physics problems using logical approaches.
- Explain physics concepts using simple language, visuals, and reasoning.
Required profile
- Master's, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Creative and lateral thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
What we offer
- Compensation of $346 per approved task.
- Flexible remote work with a requirement of 8 hours per day and 4‑hour overlap with PST.
