Poultry Production Trainer (Trainer of Trainers)

About the role

The Poultry Production Trainer will deliver a Trainer‑of‑Trainers (ToT) programme for Community Based Facilitators and Light Up Hope staff. The aim is to equip participants with practical poultry production knowledge they can pass on to learners and community members.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed session plans and adapt them to the training schedule.
• Coordinate with Light Up Hope to organise training dates, venues and materials.
• Facilitate interactive, hands‑on training sessions on poultry production, including demonstrations.
• Provide training handbooks, slides and other resources for future use.
• Offer post‑training support for three months via phone or in‑person assistance.
• Conduct knowledge‑uptake evaluations, report findings and refine training methods based on feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience facilitating workshops or training sessions.
• Strong background in poultry production and successful farm management.
• Experience delivering capacity‑building programmes for extension officers, agripreneurs or teachers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to adapt training materials to diverse learner needs.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of poultry production trends and product marketing.
