Senior Manager, Right Fit Evidence

About the role

The Right‑Fit Evidence (RFE) Unit at IPA is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the strategic delivery of a multi‑country education scaling project funded by the FCDO. You will oversee project design, implementation, and evaluation while managing a small team of advisors and collaborating with funders, governments, and implementing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients, funders, and government agencies, coordinating multiple project teams to meet evidence, learning, and M&E needs.
• Lead design, content, and delivery of the large multi‑partner, multi‑country FCDO SCALE project, acting as the project management hub.
• Provide technical leadership for right‑fit MEL activities, ensuring data informs scaling decisions and fills evidence gaps.
• Oversee MEL and research activities conducted through IPA country offices and external partners.
• Manage project finances, delivering high‑quality outputs on time and within budget.
• Contribute to new business development, proposal coordination, and external relationship management.
• Support RFE strategy, thought leadership, and the development of public‑goods products.
• Manage performance, development, and well‑being of 2–3 Advisors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, development studies, public policy).
• Significant experience managing multi‑country projects in education or development.
• Proven track record in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) design and implementation.
• Experience overseeing budgets and delivering outputs under budget.
• Strong experience working with funders, government stakeholders, and implementing partners.
• Leadership experience managing small teams of advisors or consultants.
