PPSO Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking a PPSO Specialist to support a unique U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves managing personal property and unaccompanied baggage for military personnel, civilian employees, and their dependents, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal property support services, coordinating shipment, storage, and handling of personal property and unaccompanied baggage.
• Assist customers with documentation, schedule transportation, and maintain accurate data entry in tracking systems.
• Conduct quality inspections of packing, handling, and storage operations.
• Collaborate with transportation providers to resolve shipment claims, delays, or damages.
• Maintain confidentiality of classified information and stay current on applicable regulations.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in personal property shipping, logistics, or transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining and ability to obtain required visas.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
• Ability to pass medical and security requirements for overseas deployment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data entry and shipment tracking tools.
• Familiarity with Defense Personal Property System (DPS) or similar DoD shipping systems.
