Projectionist for US Navy MWR Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Projectionist to support a US Navy morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and monitoring audiovisual projection and sound equipment for movie screenings and special events in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down digital projection and sound systems for scheduled screenings and events.
• Monitor audio‑visual quality, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Load and schedule digital content, verify playback settings, and keep accurate screening logs.
• Maintain a clean, orderly projection booth and theater area while supporting morale‑building initiatives for stationed personnel.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience with audiovisual, projection, or similar technical equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and special‑event schedules.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of digital projection systems.
• Familiarity with sound equipment and audiovisual technology.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and perform basic equipment troubleshooting.
