Relationship Manager – Branch Leadership

About the role

VisionFund Kenya, a micro‑finance institution, is seeking a Relationship Manager to lead its Kapsowar branch. You will mentor staff, ensure high standards of customer service, and drive business growth in line with the organisation’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch policies, oversee credit assessments, loan approvals and compliance with KYC, AML and data‑privacy regulations.
• Supervise and develop branch staff, conduct performance appraisals, and maintain a staff retention rate of 90% or higher.
• Achieve disbursement, client acquisition, collection and profitability targets while keeping Portfolio at Risk below 5%.
• Utilise the core banking system and digital field applications for loan origination, disbursement and collections.
• Develop and execute the branch business plan, maintain relationships with local leaders and partners, and represent the branch at community events.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in micro‑finance or retail banking operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team‑building abilities.
• Commitment to ethical leadership, integrity, inclusion and Christian values.

Required skills

• Knowledge of credit operations, compliance, KYC, AML and internal controls.
• Experience with core banking systems and digital MIS platforms.
• Ability to manage fraud prevention, audit compliance and internal controls.
