Relationship Manager – Priority Banking

About the role

Standard Chartered is seeking a Relationship Manager for its Priority Banking division in Mombasa. You will manage and develop relationships with high‑profile clients, delivering tailored financial solutions while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client profiles and financial positions to provide personalized advice and product recommendations.
• Use data analytics to plan and execute targeted client conversations and engagement strategies.
• Advise on individual banking and wealth management products such as personal loans, CASA, investment portfolios, and bespoke financial instruments.
• Develop comprehensive account plans, cross‑sell and upsell to maximize client value.
• Conduct regular in‑person or virtual meetings to assess needs, onboard new products, and collaborate with specialists.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of compliance requirements, perform Client Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Actively pursue referrals, articulate Standard Chartered’s value proposition, and nurture new business opportunities.
• Provide guidance on digital banking platforms, ATMs, and client centre services.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse client financial profiles.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, AML and CDD processes.
• Proactive approach to business development through referrals and client education.
