Stores Clerk - Raw Materials

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Stores Clerk for raw materials in Kiambu (Kirigiti). The role covers receiving, storing, issuing and controlling raw materials, keeping stock records accurate and reporting on inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Receive raw materials and check quantities, descriptions, specifications and documents against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, discrepancies or quality issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Record, label and transfer received materials to the right storage locations.
• Store materials systematically and keep stock records up to date, monitoring levels to avoid shortages, excess, damage and wastage.
• Handle materials according to company procedures and safety requirements.
• Issue materials against approved requisitions and record all movements in inventory systems or stock cards.
• Track returns, transfers and adjustments.
• Carry out regular physical stock counts, compare them with system records and investigate variances.
• Maintain stores documentation such as goods received notes, issue vouchers, requisitions, stock cards and inventory reports, and prepare regular stock reports in MS Excel.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in stores, inventory, warehouse or materials management.
• Practical experience in stock receiving, issuing, stocktaking, inventory reconciliation and record keeping.
• Experience with raw materials or a structured stores environment is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
