Support Manager

About the role

The Support Manager will lead customer support operations and training system delivery for a global defence and security leader in Kenya. Based in Isiolo, the role ensures operational excellence for military training exercises, maintains advanced simulation equipment, and builds strong relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site operations, ensuring compliance with contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate customer operational support with local and international teams, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Act as the primary contact for training support, collaborating with planners and leaders to optimise training effectiveness.
• Maintain operational availability of all equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as required.
• Ensure training systems and simulations are correctly configured and optimised.
• Manage spare‑stock holdings to meet contract requirements.
• Respond quickly to customer requests, providing alternative solutions when needed.
• Deploy on field exercises supporting Kenyan and multinational armed forces, delivering both field‑based and back‑office support.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and operational support delivery.
• Proven experience in a military training environment.
• Leadership experience in military, defence, technical support or operational settings.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Financial management and budget oversight experience.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally (valid passport required).
