Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Capwell Industries Limited is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team. The role focuses on planning, optimizing, and monitoring outbound logistics across Kenya, ensuring efficient product distribution, optimal fleet utilization, and cost‑effective delivery in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily and weekly outbound dispatch plans aligned with order demand, delivery priorities and operational capacity.
• Coordinate dispatch schedules to guarantee timely, cost‑efficient deliveries to customers and distribution points.
• Optimize deployment of company‑owned and third‑party fleet to maximize utilization and minimize idle capacity.
• Design and continuously improve delivery routes to reduce distance, fuel consumption and turnaround time.
• Track and report logistics KPIs such as fleet utilization, turnaround time, OTIF, load factor and cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain performance dashboards using Excel and/or Power BI.
• Monitor logistics costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support budgeting for outbound logistics.
• Manage third‑party transporters, evaluate performance against SLAs and drive improvements.
• Identify and resolve operational disruptions, including vehicle breakdowns and route exceptions.

Required profile

• Operational discipline and strong analytical capability.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting performance dashboards.
• Ability to resolve live delivery exceptions and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in outbound logistics within an FMCG environment is preferred.
