Vehicle Condition Inspector

About the role

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Vehicle Condition Inspector to join its growing team. You will be the face of the company, providing clear, trustworthy assessments of vehicle condition to our clients across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off‑lease locations to identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.
• Prepare detailed condition reports, including repair or replacement cost estimates and supporting documentation.
• Capture multiple photographs of each vehicle, upload them via company‑issued smartphone, and list inspected vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers and sales teams to upsell services and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to and from dealerships and client sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Assist independent dealerships in registering as buyers on the digital platform.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the automobile field with knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including standing for long periods and lifting 25 lb or more.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team.
