Vehicle Tinter

About the role

A leading car paint and tinting company, recruited through its recruiter, is looking for a skilled and creative Vehicle Tinter for a full-time position in the industrial area. The tinter installs automotive window tint films, prepares vehicle surfaces, creates custom tint solutions and ensures high-quality workmanship that meets customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Install decorative, privacy, UV protection and sun-control window tint films on a variety of vehicles, measuring, cutting, shaping and heat-forming them precisely.
• Ensure smooth, bubble-free, wrinkle-free finishes and remove old or damaged tint without damaging the glass.
• Clean and prepare windows, inspecting for chips and scratches, and keep surfaces free of dust, grease and contaminants.
• Mix and match tint shades, recommend options based on customer preference, legal requirements and vehicle type, and create custom designs.
• Inspect completed work, fix defects before delivery and make sure finished vehicles are clean and ready for collection.
• Advise customers on products, benefits, maintenance, UV protection, heat reduction and privacy options, and handle their questions courteously.
• Maintain tinting tools, heat guns and cutting equipment, monitor stock of films and materials, and keep the workshop clean, organised and safe.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Tinter or Automotive Window Film Installer.
• Experience mixing tint colours and creating custom tint solutions.
• Experience in an automotive paint, detailing or tinting workshop is preferred.
• Certificate or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Body Repair, Auto Detailing or a related field is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent window tint installation skills and knowledge of heat-shrinking methods.
• Knowledge of various automotive window films and installation techniques.
• Good colour matching and creative design skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
