Accountant – Nanyuki (Nairobi Area)

About the role

The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, manage cash and supplier payments, and ensure full statutory and tax compliance in a high‑volume, fast‑paced operational environment. This is a hands‑on position that requires strong internal controls and high accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Management & Petty Cash – maintain books of accounts, prepare monthly management accounts, process payments and support budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Creditors Management – keep accurate creditors ledgers, verify and post supplier invoices, reconcile statements and apply withholding tax correctly.
• Tax & Statutory Compliance – prepare and file VAT, PAYE, WHT and Corporation Tax returns using the KRA iTax system, ensuring compliance with NSSF, SHA and Housing Levy.
• Systems & Internal Controls – post transactions accurately in accounting software and uphold strong internal controls over cash and payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA (K) Section II or III (CPA III preferred).
• Minimum 5‑6 years of accounting experience, preferably in high‑volume, transaction‑heavy environments; export agriculture experience is an advantage.
