About the role
The Kitale National Polytechnic is seeking an Accounts Clerk to support its financial operations. The role involves managing the institution’s accounts and related information systems, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded, reconciled, and reported in line with public financial management policies. The clerk will work closely with the finance supervisor to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, record, and accurately report payment transactions.
- Reconcile and update all financial transactions on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and file returns for supervisory review.
- Ensure compliance with public financial management guidelines and institutional policies.
Required profile
- Minimum of one month experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle financial data accurately.
- Basic understanding of public financial management principles.
- Good organizational abilities and ability to work under supervision.
