Architect – Maternity Cover (6‑8 months)

About the role

Brookhill Projects is seeking an experienced architect to cover a maternity leave for approximately 6–8 months. The role starts mid‑October 2026 and includes a four‑week paid handover and a brief hand‑back period.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise architectural designs, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, pools, car ports and external works.
• Produce 3D renders and room‑by‑room presentation samples for client approval.
• Prepare detailed construction information and shop drawings that can be built directly by site teams.
• Create furniture and joinery drawings with cutting lists for the in‑house workshop.
• Prepare MEP layout plans covering lighting, power, data, plumbing, drainage, septic and water storage.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision control in coordination with project managers and other disciplines.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture with at least 4 years of practice, including residential projects taken through to construction.
• Portfolio showing both presentation work and buildable technical detailing.
• Availability to start by the end of October 2026.
• Knowledge of Kenyan building practice and materials; BORAQS registration or coastal project experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD/BIM software.
• 3D modelling skills.
• Experience with a rendering package such as Enscape, Lumion, D5 or V‑Ray.
