Associate Consultant – Trade Finance & Treasury

About the role

Neptune Software Ltd is seeking an Associate Consultant to support its banking and financial clients in Nairobi. The role focuses on delivering advisory and operational solutions for Treasury and Trade Finance functions within banking software environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in managing Treasury products such as money‑market dealings, fixed‑income investments and foreign‑exchange operations.
• Support Asset‑Liability Management (ALM) and liquidity management activities.
• Provide guidance on using dealing systems to process transactions and monitor treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, the Financial Institutions Act (FIA) 2004 and related regulations.
• Manage Trade Finance operations including import letters of credit, documentary collections and bank guarantees.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional projects, including SWIFT integration and other system integrations.
• Configure and customize software applications to meet client requirements.
• Gather, document and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• Deliver training, support end‑users and facilitate adoption of new functionalities.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations and analytical materials for senior consultants and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Business, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in Treasury, Trade Finance or banking software implementation.
• Strong understanding of Treasury products, ALM, liquidity management and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage client relationships.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
