Branch Manager - Financial Services

About the role

4G Capital, a fintech and lender to micro and small businesses in Kenya and Uganda, is hiring Branch Managers. The role leads the performance, operations and growth of a branch, reporting to Sector Management. It suits leaders who enjoy developing people, building customer relationships and safeguarding portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch profitability by hitting monthly disbursement, collections and portfolio targets, and monitor performance against key indicators.
• Lead and coach the branch team, foster a high-performance culture and support staff development.
• Oversee loan verification, reference checks and customer due diligence, and enforce affordability assessments and credit policies.
• Identify and escalate portfolio risks, promote fraud prevention and internal controls.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and community leaders, resolve complaints promptly and educate customers on responsible borrowing.
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs and regulations, and oversee office administration, filing, procurement and inventory.
• Provide management reports, market intelligence and customer insights to Sector Management, and recommend growth strategies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in a business-related field.
• Leadership experience motivating and developing high-performing teams.
• Currently holds the position of Team Leader or Branch Manager in financial services.
• Consistently strong performance across individual KPIs and a healthy portfolio.
• Willingness to relocate anywhere within Kenya.
