Business Analyst – Data & Analytics Management

About the role

The Business Analyst D&A, mgmt. will support BAT’s global multi‑category transformation by driving data and analytics initiatives across regions and functions. You will act as a bridge between business units, IT, and finance to ensure data‑driven decisions deliver commercial value and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with internal Region and Global D&A functions to operationalise revised DevSecOps structures.
• Collaborate with business units, country functions, and SSA teams to capture commercial value drivers.
• Lead governance of IT roadmap plans and budgets within the DBS PMO.
• Partner with IDT Managers, Product Owners, and Services Teams to align automation roadmaps, operating models, and compliance protocols.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with regional finance budgets and generates cost efficiencies.
• Build analytical capabilities and insights to support key decision‑making across the DRBU.
• Manage developers and cross‑functional delivery teams, ensuring on‑time delivery and effective stakeholder communication.
• Mentor D&A value‑stream teams and identify uplift opportunities based on prioritized backlogs.
• Conduct gap analysis for operational data, enforce stakeholder management and change‑control processes.
• Contribute to the corporate data model by gathering end‑market requirements and ensuring alignment with the global model.
• Support transformation of the data ecosystem, resource management, QA, cost tracking, and benefit realisation.

Required profile

• Strong stakeholder management and change‑control experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Experience with data‑analytics value streams, data modelling, and governance.
• Solid understanding of finance budgeting, cost tracking, and benefit realisation.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
